Getting to the Park:

From the 405 freeway:

  • Travel NORTH or SOUTH on the 405 (depending on which direction you are) to the 118 freeway
  • Go WEST on the 118 until you get to the Topanga Canyon Blvd exit
  • Go SOUTH on Topanga Canyon Blvd about 1/2 mile until you get to the first traffic light. The park is directly on your left.
  • Continue SOUTH until you pass the park and make a SAFE U-Turn (in a driveway or side street) and park on the EAST side of the road near the park entrance. There should be other cars there as well. The entrance to the park is on the SOUTH side (just NORTH of the horse stables).

From the I-5 freeway:

  • Travel NORTH or SOUTH on the 5 (depending on which direction you are) until you get to the 118 freeway

From the 101 in or SOUTH of Hollywood (you have two choices):

  1. Travel NORTH on the 101 and continue onto the 170. The 170 then merges into the 5. Follow the directions for going NORTH on the I-5 above. This is the fastest route.
  2. Travel NORTH on the 101 (the Hollywood freeway part of the 101) and follow it left (the rightmost lanes) onto the 101 (the Venture freeway part of the 101). From here, continue WEST and follow the directions for the Valley below. If this description seems a little confusing that's understandable. The intersection of the Hollywood and Ventura freeways is pretty screwy. The Hollywood freeway consists of the 101 NORTH/SOUTH and the 170. The Ventura freeway consists of the 101 EAST/WEST and the 134. The 101 hops from the Hollywood to the Ventura freeway. See the map below.

From the Valley:

  • From the Ventura freeway 101 or any major surface street, travel WEST or EAST (depending on which direction you are coming from) until you reach Topanga Canyon Blvd.
  • Go NORTH on Topanga Blvd util you are about 1/2 mile from the 118 freeway. There will be horse stables on the right just SOUTH of the park. The park is on the right (EAST side of the road)
  • Park on the side of the road near the park entrance. The park entrance is on the SOUTH side of the park. There should be other cars there and it will be pretty obvious when you are at the right place.

Once you arrive at the park, it is a short walk (about 5 - 10 minutes) to the climbing area.

  1. Park on the side of the road. The entrance is at the SOUTH side of the park.
  2. There is a dirt path leading from the road into the park. Follow this path around the south side of the rocks.
  3. The path is pretty level until near the end where you climb a small hill and end up on a rock floor. Any further and the path becomes broken and difficult to follow.
  4. From the rock floor, head towards the main climbing rock area (the center mesa). There are several paths leading to the climbing area. You should see us.
